Surgsci’s Integrated Ultrasonic Scalpel was used in an endoscopic thymectomy performed by Dr. Alan Soo. Following the procedure, Dr. Soo shared positive feedback on its smoke control, reporting that no lens wiping was needed throughout the case.
During this procedure, the confined operating space and surrounding fatty tissue made visibility a particular focus for the surgical team. Smoke accumulation and lens contamination can interrupt the view and require pauses for cleaning.
