Surgsci, in collaboration with the Guangdong Urological and Reproductive Association – Translational Medicine Branch, has officially announced the establishment of the International Training Center for Endoluminal Stenting of Ureteral Strictures (ESUS Center) and the commencement of the 1st International Standardized Training Course on Endoluminal Stenting.
The inauguration of the ESUS Center marks a significant step toward advancing the standardization, globalization, and professional development of ureteral stricture management. As ureteral strictures continue to present complex clinical challenges worldwide, the ESUS Center aims to provide a unified platform for academic exchange, clinical training, and international collaboration.
On 24 July 2026, distinguished experts from China and abroad will gather in Guangzhou for a comprehensive training program focused on two innovative stent systems developed for minimally invasive ureteral stricture treatment: the MimoPath™ Covered Ureteral Stent System and the NanoPath™ Ureteral Stent System. These systems represent important advancements in endoluminal stenting technology, offering new possibilities for standardized diagnosis, treatment, and long‑term management.
The training course features a structured curriculum that includes expert lectures, international case sharing, and live surgical demonstrations. Through these sessions, participants will gain a rigorous and systematic understanding of endoluminal stenting techniques, from clinical decision‑making to operative execution. The program is designed to support urology professionals in mastering standardized procedures and improving patient outcomes in the management of ureteral strictures.
